2009 Gibson Les Paul '50th Anniversary' R9. Serial: 9 9341

In 2009 Gibson Custom Shop made 500 R9's (250 Sunburst, 250 Tabacco Burst) to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the historic 1959 Les Paul Standard. These 500 were given the best maple tops and come with lots of extra case candy, compared to a normal R9.

Every now and again in The Garage a guitar comes along that has that something extra you can't put into words. This is one of them, and certainly falls into the "all Les Pauls aren't created equal" category.

Definitely the best humbucker loaded guitar in The Garage at the moment.
