A truly underrated Gibson guitar, created in an era when Gibson was trying lots of new things, this was their super high end attempt at a V. But it didnt sell well due to the crazy price tag and who wants single coil pick ups in a V.
Personally I think its great, it feels great with the contoured body, its sounds cool too with a twangy 'tele' sound at the bridge and a nice warmth from the neck. Its also an interesting conversation piece, for good or bad reasons. and it feels like a battle tank that could deal with anything you throw at it.
One downside.... The Input socket has been placed in the most stupid place ever, exactly where your leg wants to be.
